Security Forces (SF) launched a military operation early on July 2 in the Lejje area of Kharan District and its surrounding vicinity, reports Zrumbesh. A large contingent of security personnel was seen moving into the area ahead of the clashes. Residents in and around Lajje reported hearing sustained gunfire and explosions throughout the morning, though the scale of casualties, if any, remains unconfirmed. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on the SFs.
