On July 2, an old shell was recovered from Stah village in Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), while villagers were cleaning a well, reports Daily Excelsior. According to reports, villagers found the shell during cleaning work and informed Samba Police Station. Police reached the spot, took possession of the shell, and handed it over to the bomb disposal squad (BDS) for neutralisation. The BDS transported the shell to a safe location and safely destroyed it. Officials stated that the shell was old and heavily rusted.
