Two father and son farmers killed in military drone strike in Intaung; one farmer also shot dead by the military in Kyautpyin Kyauk

A father and son, both farmers, have been killed after the brutal military carried out a drone bombing in the Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, according to a statement from the Indaw Revolution (IR) group and local sources.

The military carried out a drone strike on civilians working in a field at the top of Kamin village in Intaung Township at around 11 a.m. on 7 July, according to reports.

During the attack, two father and son farmers, 70-year-old U Jar and his son, U Naing Aung, in his 40s, were killed on the spot.

Furthermore, fighting has been ongoing near Intaw Township and Mawlu town, and the roads are also blocked. The Indaw Revolution (IR) group has advised local residents and travellers to stay informed of military developments and to travel with caution.  There are also clashes near Indaw, and the military junta, confident of their impunity, carry out daily drone strikes, bomb drops and heavy-weapon indiscriminate firing. They know they're targeting civilians, yet they carry on regardless. Therefore, travellers should proceed with caution. ...I want to say," said a local news source.
