Soldiers injured in attack on military outpost in Gangaw; military base in Taungup also bombed by drone
Yangon, 8 July
A responsible official from the Black Dragon Force told the Yangon New Era news agency that in West Gangaw village, Gangaw Township, Magwe Region, they attacked a brutal military outpost, resulting in casualties among the soldiers.
At around 10 pm on 6 July, some ten soldiers from the Gan Gau-based Battalion 50 were dispatched towards West Gan Gau village on the west bank of the Myittha River via the Myittha River Viaduct. It is understood that the Revolutionary Forces intervened and attacked them while they were out on patrol.
During the attack, two soldiers from the brutal military were wounded and are receiving treatment at Gantaw Hospital, After the attack, the revolutionary fighters were able to withdraw without casualties.
"The exchange of fire only lasted about 15 minutes. Our side advanced and opened fire when we saw the enemy's cigarette lighters flickering, but the military forces fired first, which is how the two-way shooting started. Two of the military dogs were reportedly wounded and taken to hospital during the attack," said an official from the Black Dragon Force.
