Two villagers were killed and two others were injured when a KIA soldier opened fire on them in Wai Long village on the Hpakant-Indawgyi road in Kachin State. Locals said the shooting was carried out by a drunken soldier after an argument with the villagers. The victims, a mother and son, have raised concerns about the discipline of the troops in areas under military rule.
