Drone attack sparks fire at oil refinery in Russia's Saratov.

Drones struck the Russian cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk on the night of 7-8 July. Fires broke out there, including at an oil refinery.

Details: At around 02:14, Busargin said that the Russian Defence Ministry had issued a warning about a possible drone attack.

After that, Telegram channels reported that restrictions had been introduced at the local airport on both arriving and departing flights.

At around 03:00, monitoring Telegram channels began reporting explosions and a likely drone strike on the Saratov oil refinery.

The Saratov oil refinery is part of the Rosneft oil company and is one of the oldest oil-processing facilities in the Volga region. It supplies fuel to the Russian forces.

Monitoring Telegram channels also reported that Borisoglebsk in Russia's Voronezh Oblast had come under a drone attack. A fire was spotted at the local military air base.

Borisoglebsk is a Russian Air Force air base that hosts Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM fighter aircraft, among others.
