The military announced on July 4 that it had recaptured Mae Za and Nant Thae villages in Inn Taw Township, which were previously controlled by rebel forces. 

Their statement said that they captured Nat Myin Lay and Si villages on June 27, Le Naung village on the 28th, Nat Myin Gyi village on the 29th, and Than Bo village on the 30th, and that on the evening of July 4, they recaptured Mae Zar village on the Myitkyina-Shubo railway line and Nant Thae village on the Myitkyina-Shubo road.
