Missile event in Ukraine on Thu 2nd July 2026

On 2 July 2026, Russian forces conducted an unidentified combination of drone and missile strikes on Kyiv - Darnytskyi, Kyiv City. Apartment buildings and private houses were damaged and one building was partially destroyed; 5 schools and 5 kindergartens were damaged. At least 18 civilians died. Across the city, energy facilities were impacted and power outages occured, a Red Cross storage facility was destroyed, more than 130 buildings were damaged (100 of these residential). In total across Kyiv city, 31 civilians were killed (including at least 18 civilians in Darnytskyi district) and 102 were injured (including 6 medics in Shevchenkivskyi district).
