On 27 June 2026, overnight, an unknown armed group (likely Al Shabaab due to the use of a IEDs, which is associated with the group's operations in Bay region and based on recorded incidents) threw a hand grenade against government security forces (SNA) near Dr. Ayub Stadium in the Berdale neighborhood of Baidoa town (Baydhaba, Bay). There were no casualties.
