On 29 July 2021, the air force of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) attacked the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) forces through an air strike at the Welkait 'front'. The exact location of the air strike is not mentioned. Event coded to Welkait (Kafta Humera, Western Tigray, Tigray). No fatalities and/or injuries reported.
