On 28 June 2026, approximately six suspected Malay Muslim separatists dressed in black detonated an explosion and set fire at PT petrol stations in Piya Mumang, Yaring (Pattani)). Arriving on two motorcycles at each location, the separatists ordered staff and civilians to leave before planting explosive devices and fleeing. Explosions and fires damaged the petrol station. This is a part of three coordinated attacks on the same day on three PT petrol stations in Yala and Pattani provinces. There were no casualties.
