On 2 July 2026, in Oe Pon Taw village (Natogyi township, Myingyan district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped 4 bombs on the village with 2 gyrocopters that came from the Nyaung-U airbase at around 5:50 pm. The Myanmar military conducted another two airstrikes on the western part of the village with a jet fighter that came from the Tada-U airbase at around 6:50 pm. The military conducted two additional airstrikes with 2 jet fighters that came from the Tada-U airbase at around 10:15 pm. 4 civilians were killed and 2 others were injured.
