On 29 July 2021, Turkish air forces carried out airstrikes against PKK in the vicinity of Direbi village, Gire Zergele, Dola Zergele, Gire Savas, Dola Sehidan, Gire Hiwa, Geliye Balayan, Gire Balayan, Dola Bedranan, Bepalan, Surede, Gilgames, Derese and Berdeqaso areas (Kurdish names) in Kandil mountain (Silsilat Jibal Qandil) region. The attacks reportedly set the areas ablaze. Also on the same day, Turkish army reportedly carried out airstrikes targeting PKK forces against a total of around 40 PKK targets in Kandil mountain (Silsilat Jibal Qandil) and Hakurk (Wadi Khakurik) regions in Erbil province, and Gara mountain (Chiya-e Gara) and Zap (Al Amadiya district) region in Duhok province. One event for each location (total 4 events) coded. No information on casualties was reported.
