On 30 June 2026, in Hpruso township (Loika district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two 500-pound bombs on an IDP camp in the western part of the township with a jet fighter from the Nam Sam airbase at around 1:00 pm, without an armed clash occurring. A civilian house was destroyed. A 5-year-old child and a 19-year-old student were injured. On the same day, in the eastern part of the township, the Myanmar military conducted drone strikes and fired 3 heavy weapons in the evening. A 19-year-old woman was injured.
