On 29 July 2021, Qasem Al Jabarin militants detonated 2 roadside explosive devices targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition Against Daesh near the Asia International Restaurant on the highway south of Nassriya city. Two vehicles were damaged and then repaired before the convoy proceeded.
