On 2 July 2026, three explosive remnants of war (IEDs) detonated in Hassi city (Al Anbar) after children started a fire in an irrigation canal. The IEDs had been left behind by ISIL militants. One civilian was injured. Civil Defense contained the fire. Security forces cordoned off the area and started searching for other explosives. 1 injured. There were no fatalities.
