Interception: On 1 July 2026, Iraqi land forces fired anti-aircraft weapons at an unspecified drone over the Green Zone in Baghdad - Karkh city (Baghdad), and one of the rockets as well as some debris fell in Baghdad - Sadr City, damaged four houses and several civilian cars. Some debris fell also in the area of Al-Washash and Baghdad - Mansour city, and on Palestine Street in Baghdad - Karkh city (where it damaged two cars, belonging to the Salman Al Mohammadi shrine administration). Security forces removed the wreckage of the downed drone and opened an investigation. 1 person was injured (either from a shrapnel or from putting out fire caused by falling rockets). There were no fatalities.
