Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Monaco on Mon 29th June 2026
29th June 2026
On 29 June 2026, at around 9 pm, an individual set an explosive device off at the entrance of a residential building on Reverend-Pere-Louis-Frolla Street in Monaco (Monaco), wounding five people, two of them seriously. The attack specifically targeted the Ukrainian-born and now Cypriot oligarch Vadim Ermolaev, who was sanctioned by Ukraine for his ties to Russia. The target, his wife and child were injured as a result of the blast. As of 5 July 2026, investigations by French and Monegasque authorities identified a 30-year-old Ukrainian woman living in Germany as the prime suspect, claiming that she had been seen scouting the location in the days before the bombing on CCTV. According to investigators, the woman detonated the bomb with a remote and did not plan the attack alone. Le Monde painted the bombing as connected to Yermolayev's son's cooperation in an investigation of the call center scamming industry that operates mostly from Dnipro. An Interpol Red Notice was issued.
