Around 1 July 2026 (as reported), Wagner and FACA forces carried out airstrikes against FPRC and MDRPC militias in Am-Dafock (Birao, Vakaga) in an attempt to dislodge the armed groups. Casualties unknown. The FACA forces claimed to have retaken the town from the militia, but the FPRC and MDRPC militias were still present in the town, and statements from the deputy of Am-Dafock also contradicted the claim.
