On 28 June 2026, drones or missiles launched by IRGC forces fell (likely due to an interception) onto a residential building in Muharraq governorate (coded to governorate capital Al Muharraq), causing material damage. There were no casualties. The Bahraini military forces said they intercepted drones and ballistic missiles launched by IRGC forces on Bahraini territory (coded as a separate event). The IRGC said that their forces launched ballistic missiles and drones at the US Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait and the US Fifth Naval Fleet in Bahrain in response to the US bombing of five coastal locations in Iran earlier on the same day.
