On 23 June 2026, an IED of unknown origin detonated on a vehicle of 1 Journalist, a reporter for Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels, in the 60th street in Al Mukalla (Al Mukalla City, Hadramawt). The explosion resulting in the killing of the journalist and complete damage to the vehicle. The reason behind the targeting was not reported. According to one source, the journalist had been subjected to threats during the past period. 1 fatality.
