On 22 June 2026, an unexploded ordnance leftover from previous Houthi military activity detonated in Al Ribi village (Qaatabah, Ad Dali), killing 5 children aged thirteen, eleven, seven, five and four respectively. The explosion also resulted in injuries of varying severity to 8 other children who were hospitalized. Three of the injured children were aged thirteen, two others were aged eleven, and two others were aged twelve and seven. The 8th injured child was aged between six and fourteen. 5 fatalities.
