Other MoA event in Colombia on Sat 4th July 2026

During military operations conducted by troops of the 15th Brigade in the village of La Italia, municipality of San José del Palmar, Chocó, clashes were held with members of the ELN armed group, resulting in the neutralization of a drone used during the armed action. Simultaneously, 23 terrorist and propaganda actions by this criminal group were neutralized, including 17 flags and 6 banners placed on the Medellín-Quibdó and Quibdó-Pereira highways. Additionally, traffic was restored on the road connecting the municipality of Tadó with the city of Pereira after the removal of a tanker truck used to obstruct the road with ELN propaganda, as well as the verification and removal of two cylinders placed at the location. These actions demonstrate the repeated violation of Human Rights and the transgressions and infractions of International Humanitarian Law by this criminal group, which, through acts of intimidation and harm to the civilian population, attacks the troops of the @COL_EJERCITO and generates fear and anxiety in the community of this department.
