Elements of the State Public Security Secretariat and the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) captured a suspected member of a criminal group in the community of Turuachi, in the municipality of Guadalupe y Calvo, Chihuahua. The deployment of law enforcement forces was consolidated after patrol and intelligence work in the mountainous region. The security operation resulted in the immediate neutralization of the suspect and the securing of the perimeter. State and federal agents established a perimeter upon arriving at the scene, detecting the movement of vehicles attempting to evade the assigned surveillance routes established to restore public order. The seized arsenal and vehicles located at the scene of the operation were placed under the custody of the competent authorities: 1 arsenal of firearms, 3 vehicles. The area remains under the protection of the combined agencies to continue the strategic investigations. The detainee and the war materiel were made available for the proceedings for serious high-impact crimes that threaten integrity.
