Security Forces (SFs) killed one militant during an encounter in Chandaji area in Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on August 3 (today), reports Greater Kashmir. The Police and SFs have cordoned the area to prevent the trapped militants escape. The search operations are going on at the site of the encounter and the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained, said Police spokesperson.|Police arrested four Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Over Ground Workers (OGWs) involved in developing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to carry out blasts and motivating youth to join the militant ranks by using social media and online platforms from different locations in J&K in India on August 2, reports Daily Excelsior. The four arrested LeT OGW’s are identified as Aamir Reyaz Lone of Baramulla District and incriminating materials including electronic devices were recovered from his possession, Owais Ahmad Shaksaz, resident of Seer Hamdan, Anantnag District is in the process of making an IED with the help of information from the open source internet platforms, Suhaib Muzaffar Qazi alias Tamil of Rajpora in Pulwama District and Tariq Dar. All the four arrested were in contact with active militants and incriminating materials including hand grenades and electronic devices have also been recovered from their possession.|A high alert has been sounded near Jammu Railway Station in Jammu District of J&K in India on August 2, after movement of two suspected persons was caught on CCTV camera, reports Daily Excelsior. SFs including Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and Police has been strengthened in and outside the Railway Station.|Police issued a list of ten most wanted militants in J&K in India on August 2, reports Daily Excelsior. The most wanted militants are identified as Salim Parray, Yousuf Kantroo, Abbas Sheikh, Reyaz Shetergund, Farooq Nali, Zubair Wani, Ashraf Molvi, Saqib Manzoor, Umer Mustaq Khandey and Wakeel Shah, said Inspector General of Police (IGP)  Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.|Jammu and Kashmir Administration has asked the Police to deny security clearance to residents of the Kashmir Valley in J&K in India who are involved in crimes prejudicial to the security of the state, reports Kashmir Times on August 2. The latest order issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the J&K Police will also prevent Kashmiris who have been booked under vague criminal charges from leaving the country. In a circular issued on July 31, CID, has ordered the field units of the Special Branch (SB) in Kashmir to specifically look into law & order, stones pelting and other charges before issuing clearance to people who have applied for government employment, a passport, etc.
