Security Forces (SFs) comprising of Police, Indian Army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militant identified as Sahil Manzoor Mir during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Khrew area of Awantipora area in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 28, reports Daily Excelsior. He is resident of Tulbagh Pampore in Pulwama District. SFs have also recovered incriminating material including arms and ammunition from his possession.|The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a key conspirator identified as Malik Noor Mohammad Fayyaz (51), a resident of Phagsoo in Thathri area of Doda District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 28in the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anil Parihar and his brother in Kishtwar District in 2018, reports Daily Excelsior. He had also visited Assam and Nagaland along with slain militant identified as Osama-bin-Javid for procurement of the weapons and instrumental in motivating and recruiting gullible youths to join the cadres of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), said NIA statement.|Militants lobbed grenade towards a Police party at Drusoo area of Rafiabad in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 28, reports Daily Excelsior. There was no loss of life or injury reported during this incident.|Security Forces (SFs) launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Bandrai and other six villages in Rajouri and Reasi Districts of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 28, reports Greater Kashmir.
