Security Forces (SFs) comprising of Police, Indian Army’s 62nd Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed a Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) ‘commander’ identified as Amir Ahmad Mir, resident of Chaki Choland in Shopain District in a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Gurwatan Aharbal belt of Damhal Hanjipora of Kulgam District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 26, reports Kashmir Observer. Amir was active in militancy since 2017.|Joint search operations by SFs continued for third consecutive day on July 26 in the forests of Bandipora District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India, reports Greater Kashmir. The search operations were likely to continue for two or more days, said Police official.|SFs comprising of Police, Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in several areas including Batapora and Heff villages of Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 25, reports Greater Kashmir. All the operations were called off after no militant was found in these villages.
