Security Forces (SFs) comprising of Police, Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed a militant identified as Mohammad Imran Dar, a resident of Batengoo area of Khanabal in Anantnag District, in an encounter in Munand area of Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir on July 25, reports Daily Excelsior. SFs carried out joint operation after they received specific input about presence of some militants in the area.|Joint teams of Police, Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed a Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) militant in an encounter in Shokbaba forest area of Sumlar in Bandipora District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on July 24, reports Daily Excelsior. Earlier, SATP had reported killing of two militants in this incident on July 24. Police have identified the three militants killed in this encounter to be associated with LeT. One of the slain LeT militant is identified as Sariq Altaf Baba, who crossed over to Pakistan from Wagha border in Amritsar District of Punjab in 2018. The other two militants killed during the encounter are from Pakistan and one of them is identified as Taha alias Shakir. Security Forces recovered three AK-47s rifles, 280 round and 13 magazines were recovered from the encounter site, said Kashmir Zone Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar. One Indian Army trooperwas also injured during the encounter.|Security Forces recovered and defused four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Nadernagh Avoora in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir on July 25, reports Daily Excelsior.||Militants snatched AK-47 rifle from a Police Constable at Shamsipora crossing in Khudwani area of Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir on July 25, reports Daily Excelsior. SFs cordoned off the area to nab the militants responsible for weapon snatching.
