Missile event in Ukraine on Fri 26th June 2026

On 26 June 2026, in the morning and during the day, Russian forces carried out a combination of air, drone and a ballistic missile strike at the residential area in Zaporizhia city, Zaporizhia. 1 civilian was killed, 29 civilians more, including 3 children, were injured. A fire broke out resulted in a huge plume of smoke rising over the city. Residential buildings, local lyceum, an office building, warehouses, and vehicles were damaged. According to Russian MoD, Russian drone operators struck and destroyed two locomotives hidden under a road bridge in the city of Zaporizhzhia (casualties unknown). Moreover, a regional military administration received 267 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing and cars in the Zaporizhia region.
