A child was killed after the terrorist military fired heavy artillery in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, according to reports from KPG Update News and accounts from local residents.

On June 26 at around 12:30 PM, terrorist soldiers from the Taungzin police station fired heavy artillery at Chaung Wa, Nga Lin Poke, and Chaung Shey villages.

One of the heavy artillery shells fired by the terrorist military landed and exploded near Chaung Wa village, striking three children, one of whom died on the spot after being struck in the head.
