On 23 June 2026, in Kant Kaw Taung village (coded as Gwa) (Gwa township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes twice on the village with a jet fighter at around 10:20 pm. 2 houses and an ambulance were destroyed and 2 cows were killed. 4 civilians (a 55-year-old woman, a 19-year-old woman, a 52-year-old man and a 60-year-old man) were injured.
