On 21 July 2021, Al Shabaab militants fired six mortar shells towards the Aden Ade International Airport, Halane Base camp that houses AMISOM forces in Mogadishu - Wadajir (Banadir). The mortars impacted different locations inside and outside the base camp; one UN contractor was injured.
