On 23 June 2026, an Israeli drone launched a strike on a bulldozer that was pulling the rubble in Al Deir neighborhood in Nabatiyeh El Faouqa (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh) then Israeli forces opened machine gun fire on the area killing 2 people, including a municipal employee, and injuring one person. They were standing near an excavator and an Islamic Health Society team working to clear roads and retrieve bodies. According to the IDF, Israeli troops struck a group of 4 Hezbollah gunmen riding a motorcycle and a bulldozer who crossed into the security zone and posed a threat to forces in the Ali Taher area. This event occurred after the ceasefire took effect on 19 June 2026.
