On 26 June 2026, US forces struck an IRGC Navy-operated communication tower at Shahid Raahbar Naval Base (Sirik, Hormozgan), causing several explosions. Casualties unknown. This event was part of airstrikes by the US targeting Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites in response to Iran's earlier hitting a Singapore-flagged cargo ship that was exiting the Strait of Hormuz along the Omani coast (coded separately). In retaliation, Iran claimed to have attacked US sites in the region.
