Around 20 June 2026 (as reported), a Taliban militant threw a grenade at the house of a local resident in Ghazni province, injuring a young girl and a boy from the family. According to the family, the attack followed earlier harassments in which the Taliban militant made abusive demands to their two children, who are madrassa (religious school) students. The family of the students said that after the children refused the militant's demands, he targeted their home with a grenade. The student's family had pursued the case to a Taliban court, but they resolved it by requiring the perpetrator to take an oath, rather than imposing formal punishment.
