On 16 June 2026, in Htan Pin Kone village (Okpho township, Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), the Myanmar military troops stationed at the Kyauk Pone village fired heavy weapons three times around 9 am, which fell and exploded in the village. Some houses were destroyed. Locals claimed that the military fired heavy weapons to prevent locals from entering the village. Casualties unknown.
