Two junta soldiers were killed after opening fire on each other at a frontline military camp in the Ayeyarwady Region, where troops face mounting pressure from the Arakan Army (AA).
The fatal shootout occurred around 8:00 AM on June 23 following a heated argument between soldiers stationed at a new outpost near Kabangyi (Kambangyi) village. The village sits in Yekyi Township, close to the Rakhine Yoma mountain range.
According to the Special News Agency-Pathein, the dispute quickly escalated into a physical scuffle, ending with both soldiers exchanging gunfire and killing each other on the spot.
