The Yesagyo People's Defense Team (PaKaPha) released a statement tonight that a shooting incident occurred yesterday in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, killing two soldiers.

According to the statement from Yesagyo, a clash lasting nearly half an hour broke out when a 20-strong terrorist military column entered Taungphyar, 2000-Pyi Ward in Yesagyo Township.

An official from the Yesagyo PaKaPha stated that the terrorist military did not continue its offensive but instead retreated after collecting the dead bodies.

The Yesagyo PaKaPha statement notes that the deceased soldiers include Sergeant Zaw Min and one other from Light Infantry Battalion 256, while three others sustained injuries.

The attack was carried out by comrades of the Yesagyo PaKaPha.
