SAA event in Morocco on Mon 27th January 2025

A statement from the Central Bureau of Judicial investigations indicated that the intervention and raid procedures initiated by elements of the Special Force of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, in coordination with the deans and officers of the CBJI and with field cooperation with elements of the Air Brigade and the Judicial Center of the Royal Gendarmerie, resulted in the arrest of four extremist elements, including three brothers, who are linked to the ISIS terrorist organization, aged 26, 29, 31 and 35 years, who were active in the Had Soualem area in the provice of Berrechid. 

The security operation was carried out in two different locations, namely two residential houses located in the Al Morane and Al Amal subdivisions in the Al Wahda neighbourhood of Had Soualem. It involved explosive detection technicians, members of the canine unit which includes police dogs trained to detect explosives and improvised explosive devices, in addition to a Royal Gendarmerie helicopter that combed the intervention areas from above, carrying snipers specializing in high-precision shooting belonging to the Special Force of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance.
