In the early hours of Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Royal Gendarmerie's motorcycle unit at the toll station in Bouskoura, near Casablanca, thwarted an international smuggling operation involving five tons of hashish. The smugglers were preparing to transport the shipment to a port for eventual smuggling by sea.

According to private sources, this huge quantity of drugs, weighing more than five tons, was seized after a cement tanker truck (known as a "Boutniar") was searched and stopped on the highway as part of operations to combat international trafficking and smuggling of contraband.
