Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted Moroccan occupation positions and fortifications in the Farsia sector, inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces.
According to Military Communiqué No. issued by the Ministry of National Defence, advanced units of Sahrawi army carried out a concentrated bombardment on Thursday morning, targeting enemy bases and defensive positions in the Al-Fiyyeen area of the Farsia sector.
The communiqué stated that the attack caused substantial damage to the occupation forces' positions and resulted in considerable losses among their ranks.
The operation forms part of the ongoing military actions carried out by the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army against Moroccan military positions along the berm in Western Sahara, added the Communiqué.
