The incident occurred in the Karataş area of Yukarıelma neighborhood in Alaçam district. Allegedly, residents of the area found a motorized part that is believed to have fallen from a height. Following the report, teams from the Bafra Fire Department Group Command and the Bafra District Gendarmerie Command were dispatched to the area. The teams secured the area where the piece was found and conducted an investigation.

Initial assessments suggested the motorized part might belong to a Ukrainian- made kamikaze drone. Following investigations at the scene, the part was secured and sent to relevant units for detailed technical examination.

It has been learned that the aircraft to which the discovered part belongs and the accuracy of the claims will become clear after the technical examination.
