On June 25, three persons were injured, in an accidental Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Joujangtek Village along the Imphal-Khoupum Road in Noney District of Manipur, Northeast Now reports. The explosion occurred when an IED, allegedly being planted by unidentified miscreants, detonated prematurely. Reports indicated that the individuals attempting to plant the device were among those injured. Two of the injured, identified as Helum and Lemang, were shifted to Churachandpur Medical College for treatment. Following the incident, a joint team of the Assam Rifles (AR) and Manipur Police (MP) reached the spot and launched an investigation.
