On 18 July 2021, an explosive device planted by an unidentified group detonated in the vicinity of Sere Sate village (Kurdish name) in Yuksekova district of Hakkari, killing at least 15 sheep grazing in the area. No injuries were inflicted to two shepherds who were also at the scene.
