Troops Intercept Vehicle Conveying Suspected Explosive Materials in Kaduna By Zagazola Makama Security operatives have intercepted a vehicle conveying suspected explosive materials during a stop-and-search operation in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the interception occurred at about 6:10 p.m. on June 24 at Barde village. The sources said the vehicle, driven by one Lawal Musa, was stopped during a routine security check, during which personnel discovered a quantity of suspected explosive powder and three detonating wires concealed in the vehicle. The suspect was immediately arrested, while the recovered materials were taken into custody for further examination. Security sources said the suspect is undergoing preliminary investigation to ascertain the source and intended use of the suspected explosive materials, while further investigations are ongoing.
