UAV event in Ufa, Bashneft-Novoil area, Russian Federation on Wed 24th June 2026

Fighters from the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Center attacked the Poltavskaya oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation with drones on the night of June 25. They also struck two oil refineries in Ufa, in the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan, in the morning.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

The Poltavska oil depot is located approximately 300 kilometers from the front line.

"This is a large complex for receiving, storing, and shipping diesel fuel and gasoline. Its tank farm has 28 tanks," the SBU says.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that as a result of the hits, a fire was recorded on the territory of the enterprise.

The attacked oil refineries in Ufa - Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil - are located 1,500 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine.

"Following the explosions, fires broke out at these facilities. Media materials confirm at least two separate ignition centers. The AVT installations of the enterprises, which are the "heart" of the plants and provide primary oil processing, are on fire," the SBU added.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the latest attacks on Russian oil facilities, stated that Ukraine's long-range operations are consistent, precise responses to Russia's protracted war and strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities.

"We are implementing the plan of our long-range sanctions. Thank you to all Ukrainian soldiers who ensure our accuracy. The Russians should think about real diplomacy, and not try to deceive someone again or buy time. The war must be ended," the president added in his post on the social network X.

Earlier, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation confirmed a drone attack on the Poltavskaya oil terminal, which caused it to catch fire. The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, also said that Ufa was attacked by UAVs , but claimed that the air defense allegedly "successfully" repelled the strikes.
