UAV event in Sumy, Zarichnyi District area, Ukraine on Wed 24th June 2026

On the morning of June 24, a Russian drone attacked a gas station on the outskirts of Sumy . There were people at the gas station at the time of the attack. Three people were injured.

"Three civilians who were in the area were injured. Medics are examining them and providing the necessary assistance. According to preliminary information, the injuries are not serious," said a message on the Telegram channel of the head of the Sumy OVA, Oleg Hryhorov.

Cars were also damaged.

Gas station employees began escorting visitors to shelters when they learned about the drone's approach, Anastasia Prival told Suspilno.

"We pressed the emergency button. There was a man standing there. We waited for him to make coffee because he refused to come out. The administrator, Oleksandra, was next to him. She ran to the shelter when the impact happened. Everyone was stressed."

This is not the first time this gas station has been hit , Anastasia Prival clarified. A person died that time.

The attack took place at around 9:50 a.m. on June 24. This is a gas station in the Zarichny district, said Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar.

They were probably hit by a Geran-2 drone, the MVA said . A 65-year-old and a 42-year-old man are in the hospital. The injuries are not serious.
