On 16 June 2026, a landmine planted by unknown gunmen during previous clashes exploded beneath a vehicle carrying farmers and workers in agricultural lands west of Rassas town in As Sweida countryside. Sources claimed that the individuals were traveling to extinguish a fire in nearby agricultural lands when the explosion occurred, killing one farmer and injuring several others. 1 fatality.
