A linkman belonging to United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) was injured in police firing during an escape bid at Jeypore under Naharkatia Police Station (PS) of Dibrugarh District in Assam, reports Northeast Now. The linkman of ULFA-I, Babul Deka, had come to collect extortion money from Sarada Tea Factory. Deka had served extortion notes of INR 20, 00,000 to the tea factory. He was shot at while trying to escape from Police.
