On July 21, two militants belonging to National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Khaplang (NSCN-K) and Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland- Khango Konyak (NSCN-K2) surrendered before Longding administration in Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports Arunachal Times. The two militants identified as self-styled ‘private’ Jamgang Patadam of NSCN-K and self-styled ‘captain’ Hikai Wangsu of NSCN-K2 was involved in extortion and collection of taxes. Jamgang Patadam had joined the NSCN-K in December 2020 while Hikai Wangsu had joined initially NSCN-K in 2009 and later joined NSCN-K2 in 2019.
